ABOUT THE GRAND CENTRAL HALL LIVERPOOL

Welcome to the unique entertainment venue inside one of Liverpool’s most historic buildings.

This amazing Grade II Listed Building, Designed by Bradshaw and Gass, was built in 1904-1905 for the Liverpool Wesleyan Mission as a centre for religious and social meetings for Methodists (and still features the 100-year-old pipe organ.)
Built to an Art Nouveau design the new building had a capacity of 3,576 people and was also used from its opening until at least 1944 as the New Century Picture Hall cinema. From 1933 to 1939 the hall was the home of the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra while the Philharmonic Hall was rebuilt following a fire.In 1990 the Methodists sold The Grand Central Hall. Major restoration work was undertaken in 1997/98.

This former Victorian Theatre, which can accommodate up to 1300 people has been transformed into a multi-use space that is perfect for weddings, birthday celebrations, live music, fashion shows, corporate events and so much more.
Housing the largest video screen outside of Wembley, Grand Central Hall can host film screenings and live sporting action ensuring everyone gets the best view. Not content with just one accolade, Grand Central Hall also boasts the oldest working Grand Pipe Organ in the Northwest, an additional extra that is sure to make your big celebration one to remember!
